MEGA
CAMP
We made it: King´s Kids Megacamp '03! The Lithuanian team
arrived late
Tuesday
night to set up camp. The next morning was exhausting, running around
getting the uniforms out (all sizes). Then there was getting the
beds and rooms ready with all the signs so people wouldn't get lost
or go into the wrong room or bathroom. When the bus arrived at 2pm,
it was chaos, there were kids with bags bigger than themselves or
that had too much and needed help. Now that´s why we have
the rule " don´ t take more than you can carry ",
but it usually happens when new people come and don´ t know
what to expect.

Kids going in and out walking around, having lunch, and talkingabout
the trip. Then came trying on the uniform, another problem. The
shirts that we had were BIG, size small was close to a medium or
large, and then if you put on oneof the really small shirts it would
be TOO small. So, many of the kids have shirts a bit big or a bit
small, but they are still all cute.
The kids have started right away learning dances and singing songs,
they are enjoying it very much, and working very hard. The songs
go to every one's liking, some songs fast with a strong beat, others
slow and with a soft beat. Something for everyone.
The
second day when all the kids got into their age groups, Patti Clewett
was teaching them about the body of Christ. So, some kids had their
mouth taped or eyes covered, hands taped together, or their ears
covered, feet tide together
Let's just say a lot of fun and
laughter. Then there was the older group from ages 13 up and this
group was great, people were really open and sincere. People really
opened themselves up and many were just crying with non-stop. People
were sharing how hard it was for them to be a young Christian and
in a non-Christian school. Or that they were Christians but that
their friends and family weren't; it was a very emotional time.
But now everyone is doing fine, the elders prayed over them and
blessed them and they were healed inside from the pain and hurt,
being suffered for years.
