Gales nº 3 (nota del editor: dado la cercanía del fin del tour, algunos reportajes cómo estos de Gales, sólo tendrán texto y no serán editados.) (Editor´s note: We´ll try to get these last reports to you but they will come without editing or pictures.) Domingo 24 de julio El domingo fue un día precioso! La lluvia caía mientras disfrutamos de un día de verano Gales. En la reunión del domingo por la mañana nos tocó llevar la Escuela Dominical. Hicimos un par de bailes, y el sketch de la silla de “No Tocar”. Nuestro devocional del domingo era Génesis capitulo 37, sobre José y sus hermanos, entonces hicimos que los niños interpretaran la historia mientras nosotros la narrábamos. Además, tuvimos un tiempo de grupos de discusión y todos los niños (5-14 años) se abrieron bastante. Las mujeres de la iglesia nos prepararon una comida deliciosa. El típico “Rosbif de domingo de Gales”. Durante el culto de la tarde, tuvimos un tiempo muy bueno de alabanza, y la predicación fue una pasada. El Pastor Wynn Lewis habló sobre el avivamiento y el papel que nos toca desarrollar. Habló de que el avivamiento es nuestra responsabilidad actuar sobre ello. Cambió mi perspectiva sobre ello y me animó en que veremos avivamiento en España. Mucho de nuestro equipo quedaron tocados por el Espíritu Santo de varias maneras en tiempos de oración después. Tu reportera, Ashley Day. Sunday was a beautiful Wales summer day with rain pouring down. We were in charge of the Sunday school class where God really blessed us and we had a load of fun. We performed a couple of dances, and the “don’t touch” sketch. Our devotional for Sunday had been Sunday chapter 37, about Joseph and his brothers, so we had the kids act out the story while we narrated it. We also had a group discussion time and all the kids (age 5-14) really opened up. The ladies of the church cooked an amazing lunch for us. A typical welsh Sunday roast. During the evening service, we had a good worship time, and an awesome sermon. Pastor Wynn Lewis spoke on revival and the part we have to play. He said revival is our responsibility to act. This attitude towards revival changed my way of thinking about revival in Spain. I just need to be willing to act instead of just pray. Your faithful corresondent, Ashley Day.
Lunes 25 de Julio Era el dia en que estábamos en el camping. Por la mañana hicimos nuestro devocional, luego pasamos un rato jugando y acabamos la mañana hacienda un ensayo (mientras alguna gente del camping nos miraba y hacia fotos). La tarde fue un poco libre, algunos fuimos a la playa y jugamos al Ciudadelas (juego de estrategia) y otros salieron a lavar ropa. We were in the camping area still. In the morning we did our devotional, then we spent some time goofing off and finished the morning with a rehearsal (while people in the campsite were taking photos and watching).In the afternoon we had some free time to hit the beach and play "Empires", while others did their laundry. Ese día nos invitaron a comer algo muy típico de Reino Unido: “Fish & Chips”. Después de eso, Patti vino super emocionada porque en la playa habían bastantes niños y como ya íbamos preparados por si surgía la ocasión con el vestuario y maquillaje, pues fuimos para allá y actuamos 2 bailes. Después nos dirigimos para el camping donde Patti fue a buscar a gente e hicimos una actuación más y fue lo mejor! Fue genial, todos bailamos con muchas ganas (yo también) y a la gente le gustó. Karim tuvo una larga conversación con una señora durante más de media hora donde la señora se abrió bastante… Salimos muy contentos! Después de eso, tuvimos un pequeño tiempo de equipo comentando la noche, y a la cama!! Vuestro reportero, Pau Pérez Then we ate a typical British meal, Fish and Chips. Afterwards, Patti came running in really excited because on the beach there was a bunch of people. We were prepared with uniforms and make'up for just such an occasion, so off we went, doing a couple of dances on the beach! Then, Patti went tent-to-tent asking people to come see a performance and about 50 crowded around. Our best time yet, everyone really danced with gusto (even me!) and the people really appreciated it. Karim had a long conversation with a lady for about a half an hour. We were really excited about it. Then, an eveluation time and hit the sack! Your faithful correspondent, Pau Pérez
Miércoles 27 de Julio Sin duda, un día de los más activos! Tuvimos que levantarnos temprano y pelear por la única ducha de la iglesia . Cargamos las pilas en un tiempo de alabanza y después nos montamos en el mini bus y en el coche de Beth para ir a una Escuela en la cual trabaja la Iglesia. Había muchísimos talleres que montamos nosotros y otros no. Empezamos el día con un partido de fútbol… y después de todo: encuestas, ping-pong, break-dance, juegos, enseñando sevillanas, aprendiendo a tocar percusión… Lo pasamos muy bien! Después de casi 4 horas jugando con ellos, hicimos un par de actuaciones y un testimonio. Cuando acabamos, un chico preguntó mas acerca de Jesús y aceptó a Jesús!!!! J Without a doubt, one of our most active days. Today we had to get up super early and fight over the only shower available to us in the church. We recharged our batteries in a worship time and then boarded the minbus and Beth´s car to go the a school whee the church has recreation programs. We started the day with a football game, then everything we could think of: surveys, ping-pong, break dancing, games, teaching them Spanish dances, palying drums... we had a great time. After almost 4 hours playing with them, we did a couple of dances and some testimonies. Afterwards, a guy asked more about Jesus and ended up praying to receive the Lord!!! En la reunión por la tarde en la iglesia, muchos de los que conocimos en la Escuela, vinieron a la iglesia por su propia voluntad!! En definitiva, un día completo!
