KK05 Tour "Sur" reportaje nº 1

 

Bueno, bueno, gente!

Han sido unos días muy intensos aquí en Rincón de La Victoria y la Cala
del Moral (Málaga). Tras un viaje de cerca de 1000 kilométros en el tren hotel llegamos el día 17, justo a tiempo para asistir a la reunión dominical de la iglesia que nos ha recibido.

Las instalaciones son geniales y esta gente se ha portado genial con
nosotros, tenemos 8 duchas para el equipo, lavábos, cocina y colchones
para casi todos. El calor nos ha acompañado durante todo este tiempo. Hemos llegado a tener noches de casi 40 grados. Tuvimos 1 actuación en la Residencia para ancianos de Caritas, "El buen samaritano", en Churriana y posteriormente 3 actuaciones en la plaza central
de La Cala del Moral. Eso sin contar con el torneo de 24 horas de
futbito en el que participoaron 10 equipos, incluido el nuestro.

OK, OK, people:

We´ve had some intense days here in Rincón de la Victoria y la Cala del Moral (two towns near Málaga). After a 600 mile overnight train trip we arrived on July 17, just in time to attend the service of the church that was hosting us.

The facilities here are great and the church people have made us feel like King´s (or should we say King´s Kids?). We have 8 showers for our team, bathrooms, kitchen and mattresses for almost everone, but it has been really hot (up to 104ºF at night!!) We did one ministry time in the nursing home called "The Good Samaritan" in Churriana and then three concerts in the central plaza of Cala de Moral. That doesn't include the 24-hour soccer tournament we just staged with 10 teams from the area including ours!

Empezamos el viernes a las 12 de la noche y se prolongó hasta las 3 de la tarde del sabado. Nuestros chicos (y chicas: Ana también jugó) hicieron un papel genial. A pesar de jugar contra rivales que les doblaban la edad, pericia y fuerza, se clasificaron para la segunda ronda.
El sábado a la tarde, pudimos visitar las famosas cuevas subterráneas
del Tesoro y hoy domingo hemos actuado para la gente de la Iglesia. Nos
queda una tarde de limpieza general y mañana un dia de relax, antes de salir hacia Motril.

Estamos orando por tener un tiempo potente en Granada.

The soccer tournament started at midnight on Friday and continued until 3pm Saturday. Our guys (and girl, Anna also played!) did a great job. Despite playing aginst rivals that were twice their age, skill levl and strngth, they made it to the seond round! Saturday afternoon, we visited the famous underground caves of Tesoro. Today (Sunday, July 24) we performed for the church and now we have general cleaning before we take a day off tomorrow and move to Motril (on the coast east of Málaga).

We´re praying for a great time in this next stop.
